Anything new you’ve learned?
I've actually learned a lot about livestream technology doing these shows in quarantine! It's been empowering to know people can see and hear me as if I'm playing to them right there live in their living rooms and be connecting with people all over the world!
Inspiration wise I've been fascinated by fashion lately - studying the trends throughout the decades and binge watching documentaries on iconic artists. Also dabbling in video editing techniques a bit which is something else creative and fun!
What’s something new you’ve cooked/baked?
Homemade chili - a recipe I got from my mom. Super easy to make and delicious!
Album you’ve had on repeat:
STARMAN by David Bowie
What’s a song that is your go to comfort jam?
‘Across the Universe’ by the Beatles. It takes me outside of my head and into a space of connection with everything around me. My comfort jam is probably anything by Sade. Her music is so chill in the evenings and helps me shut my brain off. Great music to vibe on when you need a mental health day or a relaxing bubble bath!
If you could only watch one film for the rest of time what would it be?
Amadeus - it’s my all time favorite movie. I must’ve already seen it 100 times and used to watch it over and over again growing up as a kid. I loved being immersed in the music and story and was always devastated by how sad the ending is! I'm a sucker for sad stories.
What’s the best advice you’ve received during this time?
I talk to my friend and songwriting partner Chloe almost every day. She always reminds me that it’s ok to not feel productive, to just take things one day at a time. We’re all going through a lot of different emotions over this situation and this pandemic has affected the entire world. It’s important to remember when you feel alone we’re really all together in this.
What’s something you miss the most right now?
Hands down - the gym!!!!! I’m a total gym rat… I was going absolutely stir crazy before they opened the hiking trails again. Thankful to be able to get outside!
What do you hope we take away from this?
That the world is more connected than we realized - we all are. Things can change over night and it’s important to realize how much we really do affect each other, and as a global community we need to take care of each other.
Anything new we should know about that you’re working on?
I’m already planning my next single release ‘Red Flags’ one of my all time favorite songs coming out this Summer! Working on a bunch of unreleased music and finishing a new album for later this year as a follow up Symptoms.
